Delaware North Australia is hiring a Client Relationship Manager to join our MCG Events team at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG). As a Client Relationship Manager, you will play a key role in growing Non‑Match Day business by converting inbound leads, strengthening existing partnerships, and building new opportunities across Melbourne, Australia, and international markets. You’ll take ownership of high‑value client relationships, represent an iconic brand across the business events sector, and help deliver exceptional events at the nation’s greatest sporting stadium.

What will you do?

  • Win new business through targeted B2B outreach, networking, industry trade shows, conferences, and familiarisation programs, representing an iconic brand within one of Australia’s most exciting business events destinations
  • Take ownership of high‑value client relationships, converting inbound enquiries into a healthy and sustainable pipeline that supports Non‑Match Day revenue targets
  • Grow and manage key accounts by deeply understanding partner needs and recommending tailored event solutions, including hosting clients at major events within Delaware North’s premium corporate dining facilities
  • Represent MCG Events with industry bodies, partners, and stakeholders across the business events sector, both domestically and internationally, to develop new and emerging markets
  • Build strong relationships across the broader Sports and Entertainment Precinct, collaborating with venues, accommodation partners, and tourism stakeholders to enhance client outcomes
  • Work closely with internal teams to deliver seamless proposals, event planning support, and standout experiences, contributing to a high‑performing team delivering unforgettable events at the nation’s greatest sporting stadium

More about you

  • Proven experience in business development and account management within business events, hospitality, tourism, or venues
  • Strong knowledge of the MICE landscape (local and/or national), with confidence building senior relationships
  • Commercial mindset with the ability to identify opportunities, shape proposals, and negotiate outcomes
  • Clear, professional communication skills (written and verbal), with strong attention to detail
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office and sales/event platforms (for example, CRM and EBMS)

  • Ability to work with Momentus, Microsoft Office, and other event related platforms
