MCG Events – Client Relationship Team
Meet the Team Driving the Next Chapter of MCG Events
With demand for conferences, gala dinners, celebrations and corporate events continuing to surge, MCG Events is entering an exciting new era.
Over the past 12 months, the Melbourne Cricket Ground has continued to cement its place not only as Australia’s most iconic sporting venue, but also as one of Melbourne’s most unique destinations for business events. As organisations increasingly seek venues that deliver genuine experiences rather than just function space, the opportunity to create memorable moments beyond match day has never been greater. At the heart of that growth is our Client Relationship team.
Bringing together expertise from business events, hospitality, premium dining, tourism and customer experience, the team is focused on one thing: helping clients create events that people talk about long after the last guest has left.
Leading that charge are three new additions to the team: Matt Bromell, Lucy Wallace and Ruby Anderson, alongside Agneeta Santimano and Troy Stasinowsky, who continue to shape the strategic direction and growth of MCG Events.
Ruby Anderson: Building Relationships That Last
Some people sell events. Ruby builds relationships.
Joining MCG Events earlier this year as a Client Relationship Manager, Ruby brings extensive experience across hospitality and events, combined with an approach that puts people at the centre of every conversation. As anyone who has worked in events knows, the best outcomes rarely start with a quote or proposal. They start with trust.
Ruby has a knack for quickly understanding what a client is really trying to achieve, often before they’ve completely worked it out themselves. Whether it’s a major conference, a celebration or a high-profile corporate function, she focuses on creating experiences that feel tailored rather than templated.
Colleagues have already discovered that Ruby combines genuine warmth with remarkable attention to detail. She can be discussing event strategy one moment and debating the merits of table layouts, menu selections or room flow the next.
The result? Clients feel supported, understood and excited about what’s possible.
Matt Bromell: Bringing Fresh Eyes to an Iconic Venue
Every team benefits from someone who asks the questions everyone else stopped asking years ago.
That person is Matt.
Joining the Client Relationship team as a Client Relationship Executive, Matt has quickly immersed himself in the unique world of MCG Events. From exploring every corner of the stadium to understanding the intricate mechanics behind large-scale event delivery, he’s approached the role with curiosity and enthusiasm.
What stands out most is Matt’s willingness to learn absolutely everything.
Need to understand how an event moves from enquiry to execution? Matt’s taking notes. Interested in how premium hospitality differs from conference delivery? He’s asking questions. Want to talk about how a stadium becomes a gala dinner venue overnight? He’s probably already found someone to explain it.
Fresh perspectives often lead to fresh ideas, and Matt’s arrival brings exactly that. He’s helping the team look at experiences through the eyes of new clients while learning what makes the MCG such a remarkable place to host an event.
As he settles into the role, expect plenty of energy, plenty of ideas and probably plenty of steps on the fitness tracker from walking one of the largest event venues in the country.
Lucy Wallace: Energy, Enthusiasm and Endless Possibilities
If events are ultimately about creating memorable experiences, Lucy understands exactly why they matter.
Joining the team as a Client Relationship Executive, Lucy brings enthusiasm, positivity and a genuine passion for customer experience. She understands that behind every booking is a purpose. Sometimes it’s celebrating success. Sometimes it’s bringing people together. Sometimes it’s creating an experience that strengthens a brand or organisation.
Her approach combines professionalism with approachability, making it easy for clients to feel comfortable throughout the planning process.
One of Lucy’s strengths is her ability to see possibilities where others might see limitations. A brief can start as a straightforward meeting and quickly evolve into a much bigger conversation about how to surprise guests, maximise the venue or create something genuinely memorable.
She’s also quickly learning one of the great truths of event management: no two days are ever the same.
That’s not a challenge.
For Lucy, that’s the fun part.
Agneeta Santimano: The Experience and Leadership Behind the Team
Every great team needs someone who combines experience with a willingness to mentor others.
Agneeta plays that role perfectly.
As Senior Client Relationship Manager, she has been instrumental in building strong client partnerships while helping shape the culture and capability of the expanding team.
With an extensive understanding of the corporate events landscape, Agneeta continues to guide clients through complex event requirements while supporting the next generation of relationship managers and executives.
She’s known for balancing big-picture thinking with meticulous attention to detail, a combination that makes an enormous difference when managing significant events and stakeholder relationships.
In many ways, she acts as the bridge between opportunity and delivery, ensuring every event starts with the right foundations.
Looking ahead . . .
Together, Matt, Lucy, Ruby, Agneeta and Troy represent more than just a growing team.
They represent the next phase of MCG Events.
As demand for non-match day experiences continues to grow throughout 2026 and beyond, the team is focused on helping clients unlock the full potential of one of the world’s most recognised sporting venues.
From intimate celebrations and premium dining experiences to conferences, exhibitions and gala dinners, every event begins with the same goal: Creating experiences that could only happen at the MCG.
